Roma Interested in Bringing Loris Karius

Loris Karius

DBasia.news –  AS Roma is reportedly interested in bringing Loris Karius. The Liverpool goalkeeper is currently on loan at the Turkish League club, Besiktas.

Karius underwent a two-year loan period to Besiktas, after Liverpool brought in AS Roma goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, last summer. Karius’s position under the Reds shifted after he made two fatal blunders in the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The German goalkeeper also had to experience challenging times while undergoing his debut in the Super League with Besiktas. However, slowly Karius’s appearance and confidence improved in the second half of last season.

Besiktas finally managed to finish in third place in the Super League standings, and got a ticket to compete in the Europa League next season. Last season, Karius recorded 35 appearances with Besiktas in all competitions.

Roma are reportedly interested in bringing the 25-year-old goalkeeper this summer. This was after the Besiktas manager, Abdullah Avci, could not provide a guarantee whether he would keep Karius in his squad.
