Ronaldinho Arrested for Using a Fake Passport

DBasia.news –  Former Barcelona player, Ronaldinho, was arrested for using a fake passport while traveling to Paraguay.

Ronaldinho came to Paraguay with his brother, Roberto, for an invitation from Paraguay businessman, Nelson Belotti, to participate in charity work at the Fraternidad Angelical foundation. While they were there they stayed at the Paraguay Hotel Club Resort.

However, his arrival with good intentions was actually not followed by the completeness of the documents. The immigration authorities confirmed that the passport that Ronaldinho had brought was fake.

Knowing this, the local police and prosecutors immediately raided the former Barcelona star in where he was staying. The police and the prosecutor immediately confiscated documents the star has brought.

“Prosecutors are investigating Ronaldinho’s documents and passports. The public prosecutor’s official, federico Delfino, Alicia Sprizia, and Marcelo Pecci, lead the investigation and conducted operations with the police, “reported the official statement of the related parties by the Daily Mail, Thursday (05/03).

“These documents are being analyzed so that their authenticity can be accounted for. Two passports, national identity documents and cellphones have been confiscated, “the statement continued.

Nevertheless, he will not be jailed. However, they cannot leave the hotel.

“The siblings remain free to move around the hotel, but aren’t able to go out,” he stated.

Ronaldinho’s passport counterfeiting was done as his original passport had been confiscated by the Brazilian prosecutor’s office in September 2019. At that time the judge charged them guilty of building an illegal fishing ground in a lake in a conservation area.
