Ronaldo and Pogba Should Leave Manchester United

DBasia.news – Wayne Rooney’s honest assessment of his two former teammates, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba. He asked both of them to leave Manchester United.

Rooney played with Ronaldo for five seasons from 2004 to 2009. Both were key to Manchester United’s domination of England and Europe.

However, this fact does not make Rooney close his eyes to the current conditions. He admits Ronaldo is no longer part of Manchester United’s long-term program.

“You have to say (Ronaldo’s transfer) didn’t work out at the moment. Ronaldo has scored important goals but looking to the future of the club you have to go with younger and hungry players,” Rooney told Sky Sports.

“He is a threat in the goal, but in the rest of the season they need more than that. They have good young players.”

The presence of Ronaldo is indeed a fruit of simalakama for Manchester United. There is no doubt about his quality, but his young age makes it difficult for the tactician to implement the desired scheme.

Reserve Ronaldo can also be a ticking time bomb ready to explode at any time. This seems to be felt by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

Pogba’s fate

Rooney also highlighted Pogba’s future. His former team-mate’s contract in his final season at Manchester United is about to expire.

Manchester United are still trying to extend Pogba’s contract. But Rooney asked the French midfielder to leave Old Trafford.

“It would be better for Paul Pogba to just move on. He doesn’t have the impact he wants,” Rooney said.

“He looks a completely different player with the French national team and that’s not the case at Manchester United.”
