Ronaldo Nazario Discusses the Issue of Lionel Messi’s departure from Barcelona

DBasia.news – Brazilian legend and Real Valladolid owner, Ronaldo Nazario, assessed that Lionel Messi’s departure from Camp Nou would not solve any problems at Barcelona.
The Argentine superstar is indeed considering a continuation of his career at the Catalans club after feeling frustrated by the team’s downturn this season.
Los Blaugrana failed to close the 2019/20 season with a single trophy, the first time this has happened since the 2013/14 period.
Messi’s rumor was getting even stronger. He has been linked with a number of top European clubs such as Manchester City, Inter Milan to Paris Saint-Germain. The last club is even said to have made contact with Messi’s agent.
Even so, Ronaldo, who is a former Barcelona striker in the 90s, has called on the Catalans to try hard to protect Messi from a potential departure this summer.
“It is very unlikely he can leave Barcelona at this time,” said Ronaldo.
“Moreover, the club is experiencing a series of crisis from the results they achieved,” continued the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan pillar.
Ronaldo stressed that if he were the president of Barca, he would not let go of the superstar no matter what. According to him, players like La Pulga are the club’s reference point.
After all, said Ronaldo, Messi and Barca have become one unit. Messi is Barca and Barca is Messi.
“Messi is like the team’s guidance. If I were [the owner of] Barcelona, I would not let him leave no matter what the situation,” continued Ronaldo.
“He has a great and strong relationship with this club, and I think he will not stop loving this team,” concluded the Brazilian legend who retired from football in 2011.
