Ross Barkley’s Expectation For Sarri

DBasia.news – Chelsea midfielder, Ross Barkley, hopes that he can show his best performance under the new manager Maurizio Sarri’s leadership. The 24-year-old player believes his physical health is much better now.

Chelsea got Ross Barkley from Everton with a £22,5M price tag in the 2018 winter transfer market. Unfortunately, the British player just performed in 5 matches. Barkley had a hamstring injury.

Now, Barkley’s expectation to get a position in the center field is on. Barkley assumes the formation by Sarri will give him chance to assist.

“I arrived with a long-term injury, I had a few little injuries from recovering and getting used to working hard and getting my body right again. But I didn’t see it as a waste of time, from the time that I joined in January because I got my body feeling better than it has ever felt before,” Barkley said reported by Soccerway.

“I have done everything I could perfectly. During the off-season, I just got myself really fit just to give myself a head start.”

“The new manager obviously has a different style of play to our previous manager. There will be freedom because you have three men in the midfield. Going forward, getting close to the box, having shots, trying to create, obviously we have to be disciplined and organized without the ball,” he said.

Ross Barkley’s injury made him left behind to play for England national team during the 2018 World Cup. In fact, Barkley was the player of the national team since he was 16.

“You aim to win the Premier League or are challenging for trophies with the aim to win everything,” Barkley said.
