Roy Hodgson says that Manchester United’s Victory over Crystal Palace was Assisted by VAR

DBasia.news – Crystal Palace manager, Roy Hodgson condemned Manchester United’s victory, which was marked by the VAR’s decision.

In the continued match of the English Premier League, the Red Devils secured an important victory with a score of 2-0.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring for United at the end of the first half before Anthony Martial showed off his skills and scored both teams’ goals to lock in a clean sheet victory for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.

During the match, Hodgson felt that the VAR had made a mistake with his two decisions at Selhurst Park. First when Wilfried Zaha fell in the penalty box in the 44th minute.

Next, when Jordan Ayew welcomed Zaha’s cross in the 55th minute, which scored a goal for Palace but was later annulled by VAR because the attacker was said to be offside.

After the match, Hodgson could not help but feel frustrated seeing the match which he believes could be more controlled by his team if it was not interfered by VAR.

“Of course we were unlucky in that match. The god of luck was not smiling upon us because of certain decisions [made by VAR],” said Hodgson, quiping Ole’s victory.

According to Hodgson, Palace is a surprise team that is not infrequently able to overcome giant opponents. The coach was adamant that his team played far better than Martial and colleagues.

“We have won a number of matches and achieved good results against top teams like Manchester United who played worse than what we showed tonight,” said the former England national team coach.

This victory, practically made United match the acquisition ;oints of fourth place, Leicester City, who performed brilliantly when overcoming Sheffield United the day before.

Palace themselves had to swallow five successive defeats and they were stuck in 14th position by collecting 42 points from 36 matches passed.

In the next match, July 23, United are hoping for another positive result for the sake of raising the chances of finishing in the last four when they host West Ham United at Old Trafford. Palace will also visit Wolverhampton Wanderers headquarters two days earlier.
