DBasia.news – The story of Emiliano Sala’s disappearance developed into a new phase involving Nantes and Cardiff City. As is known, Sala was lost in the English Channel when he was leaving from Nantes, France, to Cardiff, Wales. The latest news, the search team has found one body that has not been identified.
Status as the most expensive player in the history of Cardiff City at a price of 15 million euros, now the problem arises when FC Nantes, as the club who sold Sala, asks Cardiff to pay the first installment for the player’s purchase, which amounts to around six million euros.
Regarding this, Cardiff City CEO Mehmet Dalman admitted that he had not paid Sala’s transfer fee. However, he promised he would immediately complete it after the player was found.
“The only thing I can say, we (Cardiff City) have not paid the first installment for Sala, and I can’t say anything more at this time,” Dalman told L’Equipe.
“Currently, the body has not been found, and this is a sensitive time for everyone. We will pay (transfer fees) if we feel the time is right for that,” he concluded.
The Nantes themselves had sent an official request regarding the settlement of Sala’s transfer fees to Cardiff. They even threatened to take legal action if this was not immediately resolved
