DBasia.news – Former Liverpool player, El Hadji Diouf, commented on Mohamed Salah’s new contract negotiations that were running in place. According to Diouf, Liverpool will not fulfill Salah’s request because he is from Africa.

Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool is in question. With the contract expiring in 2023, until now there has been no agreement between the two sides.

Reportedly, Liverpool are reluctant to fulfill Salah’s request who wants to earn £400,000 per week. El Hadji Diouf felt that the decision was based on Salah’s background, who did not come from Europe.

“Salah must be aware that he is African. So, Liverpool will not treat him like a European. They will not give the best contract like the others,” said Diof as reported by beIN Sports.

In fact, Salah is one of Liverpool’s key players. He made an instant impact after joining from Roma. Salah brought the Reds to win the Champions League and Premier League.

“The same thing happened to me when I was at Liverpool. They told me not to go to my country and play in the national team.”

Diouf thinks Liverpool must start to change that view and fulfill Salah’s request. If it was like that, Salah was asked to reject Real Madrid’s offer which was reportedly after him.

“Obviously, Liverpool have to accept Salah’s demands. If I were Salah, I would stay at Liverpool. He can earn more money and be the best player at the club with Sadio Mane. They will win a lot of titles.”

“He is 29 years old and I asked him to play four more years with Liverpol. Transfer to Madrid means Salah has to start from scratch,” added Diouf.
