Salary Becomes the Problem for Alexis Sanchez’s Departure from Manchester United

Alexis Sanchez

DBasia.news –  Transfer speculation has accompanied Manchester United striker, Alexis Sanchez, in the transfer market this summer. However, the player still survives and none of the teams have made any concrete offers.

Alexis Sanchez failed to prove himself at Manchester United. Coming to Man United 18 months ago, the 30-year-old player could not show his best abilities. Sanchez who was expected to be a way out when Man United faced a deadlock, did not show his optimal performance.

A different situation occurred when Alexis Sanchez strengthened the Chile national team. The former Udinese player appeared fertile when competing in the Copa America 2019. He packed two goals plus one assist.

Alexis Sanchez concluded, the main reason he could not appear impressively was because of the tactics at Manchester United. Not surprisingly, he decided to look for brand-new destinations in the transfer market this time.

Alexis Sanchez is reported to have attracted the interest of Serie A clubs such as Inter Milan, AS Roma, Juventus, and Napoli. However, all four clubs has faced the same obstacle to bring in Sanchez.

ESPN reports that the Serie A clubs cannot pay Alexis Sanchez’s salary as he is currently receiving. The former Barcelona receives a wage of 560 thousand pounds per week.

In addition, interested clubs also refused to bring in Alexis Sanchez on a permanent basis. They are only willing to get a loan proposal plus a redemption option.

Manchester United is reportedly considering subsidizing Sanchez’s salary. That means, the Red Devils will pay part of the player’s salary. Man United is willing to do so to see Sanchez leave the team.

Manchester United spent 34 million euros to bring in Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal. Last season, the player only had two goals from 27 matches.
