Sami Khedira Arrives at Hertha Berlin

By db-admin

DBasia.news – In the remainder of the winter transfer there is still a chance for a transfer to occur. Reportedly Juventus midfielder, Sami Khedira has joined the German club, Hertha Berlin.

Having refused to leave Turin at the start of last season even though he would certainly not get the chance to play again with Juventus, Sami Khedira finally left Pirlo’s team.

He was linked with the possibility of leaving the Premier League several times, but surprisingly Khedira would instead return to his hometown and return to play in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin.

The news about Khedira’s imminent return to Germany was reported by Kicker, who added that the player will undergo a medical test on Sunday (31/01) local time.

In addition, the former Real Madrid retainer is reportedly also going to sign a two and a half year contract with Hertha, a period that is quite long for a senior player.

Khedira himself was finally able to reach an agreement with the management of the Old Lady to terminate his contract, giving her the opportunity to move to Hertha.

The player himself has since last season started to find it difficult to obtain another place in the first team from Juve, not only because of his age, but he is often absent due to injuries.

Actually, the player can be said to have been quite fit since the start of the season and has always been training with Juve all this time, but because he was not included in Pirlo’s plan, Khedira did not get the chance to play.

After realizing that he still wanted to be able to fight on the field and play again, the 33 year old player indeed finally started to open up opportunities to leave a few months ago.

Now it seems that both Khedira and Juventus’ wishes will soon come true as they find their own paths. The midfielder certainly hopes to be able to return to the field regularly, after not having played a competitive match for quite some time,

For the Old Lady, Khedira’s departure at least helped reduce the club’s salary burden. Obviously it’s important for Juve not to lose a lot of money on players they won’t be playing.
