Sandro Tonali’s performance is slowly improving with AC Milan
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Having had difficulty adapting, Sandro Tonali is now starting to find his best performance with AC Milan.
Tonali performed nicely with Brescia throughout the last season. This led to him being summoned to the Italian national team and being targeted by big European clubs.
Milan is the lucky club to obtain Tonali. The Rossoneri borrowed him for 10 million euros and a permanent purchase option at the end of the season.
However, Tonali has had difficulty penetrating Milan’s main squad. He was unable to compete with Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer who became a mainstay in midfield.
Tonali has only started twice in Serie A and has never played for 90 minutes. This made him show minimal contribution to Milan’s success at the top of the standings.
But Tonali’s luck is a little different in the Europa League. He always appeared in full in the two matches in the group phase which ended in victory.
Most recently, Tonali brought Milan to a 3-0 win over Sparta Prague at the San Siro, Friday (30/10) am. Stefano Pioli’s team is now firmly at the top of Group H.
No wonder Tonali’s confidence has started to return. He is sure that he will soon become a mainstay for Milan in the Serie A.
“It’s never easy to come back after a month at home, especially to a Milan team who are at the top. “I feel that I am starting to get back to my best form,” Tonali told Sky Sport Italia.
Tonali honestly admits strengthening Milan is very much different than when in Brescia. The pressure when wearing the jersey of the Champions League winners seven times has weighed him down.
That is what makes his appearance not optimal. However Tonali has gotten used to it as time went on.
“Wearing the Milan jersey is tough, but in general I wasn’t fit for the match so this match is great for me and the team, “he concluded.
