DBasia.news – Santos President Jose Carlos Peres revealed that his club would do what it takes to get Manchester United midfielder, Andreas Pereira.
“He is a Santista and wants to play for Santos. The family is trying. His father wants to see him at Santos for at least a year,” Peres said.
“We know the end of the contract is in the middle of the year. But we want the player now. With his father, I’ve been speaking, but we have not yet entered into the details of values,” Peres added.
Pereira is Manchester United Academy alumni after joining the club from PSV Eindhoven in 2012 while he was still 16. Graduated from the junior team, Pereira spent two years on-loan to Granada and Valencia.
This season, he returns to United and became the starter in the first match against Leicester City. But after that, Pereira just played 5 matches of all competitions.
His contract would end this season and it’s rumored that Manchester United won’t offer the contract renewal for him. Santos wants to utilize the situation by signing him in January.
