DBasia.news – Despite his good performance, Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri still feels not satisfied with N’Golo Kante’s performance. He thinks Kante needs to do better in the upcoming matches.
In the Premier League 14th match, Kante showed his great performance and brought Chelsea to win. He also contributed hugely behind the opening goal from Pedro in that match.
“I think he played very well. He defended very well. He needs, I think, to improve a little more from the tactical point of view, but it’s natural,” Sarri said.
“In the national team, he usually plays with the two midfielders. Last season, sometimes with two midfielders and sometimes with three but in the same position. So I think it’s normal he needs to improve,” he added.
Sarri also thinks Kante’s main duty is to guard Jorginho. He hopes Kante stays near Jorginho on the pitch.
“With the ball on the other side, he has to stay very close to Jorginho. Otherwise, it’s a big problem for us. Jorginho can cut out passes from the opposition, but he’s not very strong at closing the open spaces,” Sarri concluded.
