Scamacca revealed why he didn’t celebrate when scoring a goal against Inter

DBasia.news – Gianluca Scamacca also contributed one goal as Sassuolo humiliated Inter Milan in the 2021-2022 Serie A continuation. However, his gesture of not celebrating the moment raised questions.

In the match which took place at the Giuseppe Meazza, Monday (21/2) morning WIB, Sassuolo were surprisingly able to beat Inter with a score of 2-0. This result thwarted the Nerazzurri’s mission to reclaim the top of the table.

Two of Sassuolo’s goals were scored in the first half. Giacomo Raspadori opened the scoring in the eighth minute and Scamacca’s header followed 18 minutes later.

Interestingly, Scamacca did not celebrate the goal despite being greeted by teammates. This automatically heats up rumors of a move to Inter next season.

But Scamacca denied the allegations. The reason for not celebrating was because he doubted the validity of the goal.

“No (not because of the transfer rumours), I’m just not sure if I was offside or not! That’s the only reason,” Scamacca told DAZN.

Scamacca also expressed his satisfaction after beating Inter. He considers this result to be extraordinary for a team like Sassuolo.

“We’ve had a lot of beautiful nights this season, but the three points are very important for us and it’s satisfying to beat one of the favorites for the Scudetto,” he added.

“The team is working hard, I’m trying to improve and give everything for the coach and the squad. we’ll see where Sassuolo are at the end of the season.”
