Sean Longstaff Stays at Newcastle United

DBasia.news –  Newcastle United midfielder, Sean Longstaff, is still attracting the attention of Manchester United. United reportedly will recruit him this summer.

Unfortunately, the process of his move to Old Trafford has faced some problems, after the Red Devils were reluctant to pay the funds set by the Magpies, which amounted to 50 million pounds. The opportunity to bring in the midfielder’s position has seemed to be closing in.

New coach, Steve Bruce, has even confirmed that Longstaff will remain at St. James Park and will not join the club that is currently playing under the direction of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“Of course we don’t want to let go of the best young players on the team. So, Sean Longstaff’s move to Manchester United will never happen. I am very confident that he will stay,” Bruce stated as quoted by Goal.

Sean Longstaff made his debut in the Premier League last December, previously the English playerd had been loaned to Blackpool and Kilmarnock. In the 2018/19 season, Longstaff successfully appeared in 12 matches.

Adding ammunition in the midfield seems to be the main agenda of the club based at Old Trafford, besides Longstaff, United are also rumored to be soon completing the transfer of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.
