DBasia.news –  Real Madrid triumphed at Wanda Metropolitano, headquarters of Atletico Madrid, in the 23rd week of La Liga on Saturday (9/2) Evening. El Real won 3-1 and Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos carved out two special records.

Not only scoring through the spot and completing the goals of Casemiro and Gareth Bale, Ramos also equalized the El Real legend record at LaLiga. First, the 32-year-old defender made his personal goal record in the 2016-17 season.

Ramos scored 10 goals that season. Now, in the midst of the 2018-19 ongoing season , Ramos has incised a record of the most goals on 11 goals. Details: six goals in LaLiga, three in the Copa del Rey, one in the Club World Cup, and the European Super Cup.

The former Sevilla player also maintained a 100 percent penalty record and never failed in the eight times of doing so. It shows the mentality of steel Ramos possesses.

“I took that responsibility with pleasure. It was crucial because it put us in a leading position. Let’s hope we continue to get a lot of penalties and I can continue to score good goals,” Ramos said, as quoted from Madrid’s official website.

Then the second record is the 414th appearance in LaLiga. Ramos recorded it for his 15 years career as a professional footballer in Sevilla and Madrid. That number equals the record of Camacho, a Madrid legend.

Ramos is now on the top 10 of Madrid legend with the highest number of appearances in LaLiga. 10 players, including Ramos, namely: Raul (550 matches), Sanchis (523 matches), Casillas (510 matches), Santillana (461 matches), Hierro (439 matches), Gento (427 matches), Pirri (417 matches) , Ramos and Camacho (414 matches), and Michel (404 matches).

Madrid’s victory lifted their position to second place in the standings, five points adrift of Barcelona who just played against Athletic Bilbao on Monday (11/2) 02:45 a.m. WIB. Ramos insists his team to not make it easier for Barca to win the LaLiga title this season.

“LaLiga is still there to win, there are still plenty of points left to play. Any opponent can make your life difficult, some small teams take big points when it’s impossible for them to do it,” Ramos added.

“We will continue to fight in three competitions. LaLiga motivates us because the prize is balance, consistency, and we must make the situation challenging for Barcelona even though they have significant advantages,” added the Spanish defender.
