Sergio Ramos Has No Problem with Luis Enrique

Sergio Ramos

DBasia.news – Spain national team captain, Sergio Ramos, revealed about his relationship with coach Luis Enrique. According to Ramos, he has no problem at all with Enrique.

Luis Enrique is the new coach of Spain national team. The former Barcelona coach is replacing Fernando Hierro.

Luis Enrique became the coach of Spain national team after the 2018 World Cup. Previously, Enrique was standing idle.

The position of Spain national team coach was complicated because Julen Lopetegui chose to handle Real Madrid and replaced temporarily by Hierro.

Luis Enrique’s background as the former player and coach of Barcelona raised a doubt whether he could get along with Sergio Ramos.

However, Sergio Ramos admitted that he has no problem at all with Enrique. The rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona doesn’t hinder them to collaborate.

“We didn’t know him personally (prior to him being appointed Spain coach). We only knew him from our meetings at club level. Our first contact with him couldn’t have been any better, it was very good and that’s positive. In spite of what some people might think,” Sergio Ramos told Sports.

“My own experience tells me that I tend to get along well with people who have a strong personality. We have the same objective, to take the national team back to the top,” Sergio Ramos continued.

Sergio Ramos has been playing as the captain of Spain national team since 2016. The defender of Real Madrid replaced the position of Iker Casillas.
