Serie A and LaLiga Set on War

Cristiano Ronaldo

DBasia.news – The transfer effect of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus just felt recently. The signing made two Europe top competitions, Serie A and LaLiga set on a war.

Juventus recruited Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in the 2018 summer transfer market. I Bianconeri spent 100 million euro (Rp1,6 trillion).

Juventus’ success to recruit Cristiano Ronaldo made Inter Milan want to recruit Luka Modric. The situation raised the comment from LaLiga president, Javier Tebas.

During his interview with ABC, Javier Tebas considered the Serie A clubs do the trick to get LaLiga players. Tebas said the Serie A clubs have no adequate budget.

Serie A

“It’s clear that I’d have liked to keep Cristiano Ronaldo. I’m not only referring to PSG but also Juventus with the signing of Ronaldo and Inter, who have no money to buy players but then offer a mountain of money, the source of which I don’t know. Tricks in the market? As for Juve, I don’t know. We’ll have to see how their deal (for Ronaldo) pans out, but Inter’s offer for Modric hid some tricks,” Tebas said.

Tebas’ statement raised the emotion from Serie A. The highest competition in Italy felt disappointed by the statement.

Serie A felt Tebas discredited their reputation. Moreover, in his statement, the LaLiga president attacked Italy’s two biggest clubs.

“The Lega Serie A is surprised and upset by the declarations of Liga President Javier Tebas. These comments were made without having any knowledge, yet damage the reputation and put into doubt the integrity of two Italian clubs and the League,” wrote Serie A official statement.

La Liga

“The Lega Serie A cannot passively accept comments that use the media to destabilize us on the international stage. Serie A clubs operate within the parameters set by all international rules, which is why the Lega Serie A is going through a period of great optimism and enthusiasm,” the statement continued.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan also raised their voice responding to Javier Tebas’ statement. La Beneamata would take a lawsuit for defamation by the LaLiga president.

“FC Internazionale Milano confirms that the club will take legal action against Mr. Javier Tebas, after his statements made to the press today,” Inter Milan wrote in the club’s official website.
