Serie A is not interesting for Klopp yet

DBasia.news –  Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, insists he is still not interested in coaching in Serie A. Even so Klopp will be happy to visit Italy but with a vacation destination.

Jurgen Klopp became one of the best coaches in Europe.  The former Borussia Dortmund tactician led Liverpool to win the Champions League last season.  Meanwhile, this season, the Reds are difficult to be pursued by other clubs in the Premier League championship race.

Currently, Jurgen Klopp is under contract until mid-2024 with Liverpool.  However, that did not dampen the news of the coach’s departure, especially if Liverpool could be the best in the Premier League this season.

One of the destinations likely to be visited by Klopp is Serie A. Moreover, Klopp has never handled an Italian team.  So, it will be a challenge for her career in Italy.

However, Klopp denied the news.  Klopp said he was still not interested in becoming a coach in Serie A. However, Klopp also did not rule out that possibility.

“I will not come to Italy. Because I want to travel after a career,” Klopp said as reported by the Italian Football.

“A good glass of wine and I will have fun with Arrigo Sacchi. In addition, there is also Carlo Ancelotti or with Maurizio Sarri,” he explained.

“I love your country, the weather, and fantastic food. However, to do the job, I need to know the language and my Italian is not very good,” Klopp said.

“I need time, maybe a year to learn Italian and then I can think about it again, who knows. On holiday, I will definitely come. But, about work, who knows?”

Furthermore, Jurgen Klopp did not dismiss much learning about tactics from Italian football.  The manager admires AC Milan legend, Arrigo Sacchi.

“The most important coach I learned was Arrigo Sacchi after what he did in Milan. Those things have been applied to our team. The basis for what I did was Arrigo Sacchi,” Klopp said.

Jurgen Klopp will lead Liverpool when serving Atletico Madrid in the first leg match of the last 16 of the Champions League 2019-2020, at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Tuesday (18/2) local time or early Wednesday morning Western Indonesian Time.
