Serie A Schedule Tight, Antonio Conte Takes Its Lessons

DBasia.news – Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte admitted his team had difficulty undergoing a busy schedule at the moment. But Conte claimed to still take the positive side of it.

Serie A decided to tighten the schedule so that the competition could end before August 2020. Previously, the competition was postponed due to the corona virus pandemic. This is also the reason that almost all European elite competitions have busy schedules.

Inter will face Napoli on Wednesday (29/07), after they won a 3-0 victory over Genoa on Sunday (26/07). Conte assessed that this busy schedule can provide positive lessons.

“Surely this is a new experience for everyone. However, you need to look at it positively and learn from situations like this,” Conte said.

One positive side that can be taken is that players who haven’t played much before, get a lot of opportunities. Like Borja Valero or Andra Ranocchia.

“Playing every three days will produce a variety of positive insights that can be used later on. This group consists of very professional players. They are so focused and always work hard,” he explained.

“Ranocchia always responds positively when needed. Credit must be given to the players, they always show readiness even when they are not selected. They have been trained seriously, like a true professional,” continued Conte.

The match against Napoli will be held at Giuseppe Meazza. At the first meeting in Serie A this season, Inter won 3-1 at home to Napoli. Two goals from Romelu Lukaku and one goal from Lautaro Martinez that brought Inter to victory.

“From a personal perspective, I have no doubts at all with this team. For me, Inter is the perfect team,” Conte said.

Currently Inter are second on the Serie A standings with 76 points. Meanwhile, Napoli is seventh with 59 points.
