Sevilla’s Defender Transfer to Barcelona Almost Finished

DBasia.newsMarca reported, Barcelona will finish the transfer of Sevilla defender, Clement Lenglet. Blaugrana reported giving €35M (Rp588 trillion) to recruit Lenglet.

This price tag would make Lenglet as the sixth midfield defender who came from Barcelona since Carlos Puyol’s pullout. Blaugrana gave €100M (Rp1,68 trillion) to replace Puyol.

The problem is, Barcelona hasn’t pleased yet by the performance of Puyol’s successor before Lenglet. The high officials of this club said, no one was the perfect combo for Gerard Pique in the defensive line.

In fact, Samuel Umtiti performed impressively with France National Team during the 2018 World Cup. But the 24 years old defender performed inconsistently when wearing Barcelona jersey.

Marca reported Lenglet has sent the farewell message to Sevilla’s player during Los Rojiblancos’ training session.

During the same session, Lenglet was separated from his friends. Sevilla’s high officials didn’t want him to get injured before the transfer process done.

Besides the sixth defender, Clement Lenglet is also the sixth purchase of Barcelona from Sevilla since 2008. Previously, there were Dani Alves, Seydou Keita, Adriano, Ivan Rakitic, and Aleix Vidal went to Camp Nou.
