DBasia.news – Xherdan Shaqiri said that Liverpool must maintain the spirit just like in the match against Cardiff City until the end of this season.
After the match, Shaqiri admits that he is happy with Liverpool goal against Cardiff. However, he said that the squad must keep that character that resulted in a 4-1 victory.
“We had to be brave all game,” Shaqiri said.
“So we had to be brave all game and, in the end, I think the result is a little bit too much for this game but it’s a good sign for the team that we believed until the end and we also tried to score more goals. We fully deserved the win.”
Liverpool went to the top of Premier League standing after the 4-1 victory over Cardiff City.
The only negative thing for Jurgen Klopp squad was Cardiff goal that ended the clean sheet in the home match since February.
Many people, including Liverpool fans, blamed Alberto Moreno for that goal. His teammate, Sadio Mane, responded to that critic.
After the match, the 26-year-old player told BBC through Liverpool Echo: “I think we conceded because we lacked communication.”
“Normally I am with Alberto (Moreno) on the left but I was in midfield and (one on one) it is not easy for Moreno. That is part of football, we will try to learn from that.”
