DBasia.news – After losing 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Manchester United will face two tough opponents against Chelsea and Liverpool. The Red Devils want to try to get up after the defeat.
According to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United’s manager, his team did not panic after the defeat – a defeat that stopped the pace of 11 matches without losing in all competitions. United usually get up after losing.
“You don’t panic just because you lose in one match. You don’t change everything, because that (defeat) doesn’t change your mind at all,” Solskjaer said, reported Sky Sports.
“We must continue to work with the way we want to play football. The way we approach the fight will always be offensive, positive thinking,” he stressed.
“We want to go against Chelsea, Liverpool here, we still want to maximize ourselves in the match. Some other teams also have injuries (players too), so you have to adapt,” added the 45-year-old coach.
Despite believing his team could rise from the defeat, United’s legend in the mid-1996-2007 also acknowledged, if the atmosphere in the player’s dressing room had a slight change due to the injuries given by PSG.
“This feeling is different. I hate losing, children hate losing. They are disappointed, but there is no point in regretting it, we must get up again soon,” Solskjaer added.
“You have to get up at this club and go away against Chelsea, one of the biggest challenges. We know there are seven-eight minutes left yesterday against PSG when we lost direction, but we were not too bad when defending (broadly speaking),” he concluded.
Ashley Young et al will first visit the Chelsea headquarters, Stamford Bridge, Tuesday (2/19) at 2:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. Then they entertain Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League match on Sunday (24/2).
