DBasia.news – Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was upset with the referee’s decision for not giving a red card to Southampton’s Oriol Romeu. According to Solskjaer, the violation could make Mason Greenwood absent for one month.
The incident began in the 43rd minute. Oriol Romeu did a hard tackle on Mason Greenwood. However, the referee did not issue a red card penalty after observing the VAR.
“I know my ankles didn’t like the tackles. I would be sidelined for a month because of the tackles,” Solskjaer said as reported by Mirror.
A similar statement was made by Gary Neville. He considered that Oriel Romeu was lucky for not receiving a red card.
“I do not like it. I think it is unfortunate,” explained Gary Neville as reported by Sky Sports.
“The ball is gone, he tried to do it. I think he’s lucky. The ball is gone. That could be a harsh offense for that,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the match ended with a score of 2-2. Michael Obafemi’s goal in the 90th + 6 minutes broke Manchester United’s victory.
The one additional point did not make Manchester United enter the Champions League zone. However, the Red Devils has the same points with fourth place, Leicester City.
