Solskjaer’s answer to Man United’s poor performance at Old Trafford

DBasia.news – Manchester United continued to feel the minor results when competing at Old Trafford Stadium. However, Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims the streak of poor results at home does not mean much.

Manchester United’s negative trend at Old Trafford continues. Hosting Arsenal, Man United were actually defeated with a score of 1-0. The only goal for Arsenal was created by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from the spot in the 69th minute.

Solskjaer felt, the match should be without a winner as the quality of the two teams is balanced.

“That’s football. We can’t give intensity and there is temperament in the game. I predicted 0-0 score. I think the two teams do not deserve to win,” said Solskjaer as reported by Goal.

These results has made Manchester United never win at home in the 2020-2021 Premier League match. Until now, The Red Devils have reaped three losses plus one draw.

According to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, what happened to his team had nothing to do with the presence of supporters. The manager hopes that Man United will rise soon.

“I believe, whether home or away, at the moment there is no influence as there are no spectators. I do not believe this is a mental problem (never winning at Old Trafford). It is a matter of the quality of the opponent in a certain period,” he continued.

“We’re against a good team. Small decisions will give you victory or defeat. Today we lost because of a penalty and that is the difference between the two teams.”

Next, Manchester United will visit Istanbul Basaksehir’s headquarters on matchday 3 of Group H of the 2020-2021 Champions League, at Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium, Thursday (5/11). Two days later, Paul Pogba and his colleagues will challenge Everton.
