Southhampton confirms Gavin Bazunu’s srrival

DBasia.news – Southampton are reportedly set to confirm the arrival of Manchester City goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu this summer. The team has prepared a fund of £ 12 million.

Bazunu has been attracted by a number of Premier League clubs, but the Saints are leading the way in the hunt for the 20-year-old Irish goalkeeper.

Soton will soon agree on  a contract for Bazunu, who is League One’s Player of the Year, while on loan with Portsmouth in the 2021/22 season.

Bazunu has been impressive while on loan and international duty. Southampton are expected to pay more than £12 million ($14 million) for a player who already has 10 caps and 84 senior appearances for Shamrock Rovers, Rochdale and Portsmouth.

Experienced goalkeeper, Fraser Forster will join Tottenham in July on a free transfer after his contract with The Saints expires.

Former City goalkeeper, Willy Caballero is also out of contract with his future being uncertain, leaving Alex McCarthy as the club’s only senior goalkeeper.
