Spalletti: Inter Did A Fatal Mistake

Luciano Spalletti

DBasia.news –  Inter Milan failed to defeat Tottenham Hotspur in the Group B Champions League match at Wembley, Thursday (29/11). After the match, Nerazzurri coach Luciano Spalletti admits that his squad didn’t perform maximum.

Spalletti thinks Ivan Perisic and friends overall performance was good. However, the focus was weak before the final whistle. “We had to defend better against that Sissoko run down the left. But probably it’s the only mistake we made,” he said.

The result against Tottenham makes Inter’s status would depend on Barcelona.

The result brings Inter Milan to the third position with a similar point like Tottenham, 7 points. If they want to make it, they must complete the final round against PSV Eindhoven with a victory.

“Teams like Tottenham put you in difficulty because they have good physical attributes, strength and they know how to put you under pressure. Sometimes, we give away simple balls because we’re too timid and that allows our opponents to get up the pitch,” Spalletti continued.

This result also makes Inter Milan failed to repeat the previous match achievement, victory against The Lilywhites.
