DBasia.news –  The undefeated record of PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) in a home match of Parc des Princes, in Ligue 1 ended when playing against Stade Reims, Thursday (9/26) AM. PSG had never before lost at home in Ligue 1 for 16 months.

Hosting the midfield team Ligue 1, PSG, surprisingly lost 0-2 through goals scored by Hassane Kamara (29 ‘) and Boulaye Dia (90 + 4’). Stade Reims is now ranked eighth with 11 points, while PSG is still at the top of the standings with a collection of 15 points. PSG last lost at home in May 2018.

PSG dominated possession by 73 percent, releasing 12 attempted kicks, but only three were on target. While Reims’ two on target kicks had results. PSG also relied on Neymar in the match.

Becoming the pedestal on the front lines with Pablo Sarabia and Eric Choupo-Moting, Neymar failed to break down Reims’ goal guarded by Predrag Rajkovic. Les Parisiens – PSG’s nickname – played without Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe who were still injured.

Thomas Tuchel, PSG coach, criticized his team for being inefficient in playing and becoming worse as the game progressed. Tuchel rates that PSG is indeed worthy of the defeat.

“I am disappointed with our performance. Playing at the Parc with a Parisian jersey is always special and our performance was indeed inefficient,” Tuchel said, as quoted by Fox Sports.

“10 minutes, maybe the first 15 minutes, everything went well but then every minute passed we continued to deteriorate. We did not show what we could do – so this defeat was acceptable.”

The defeat occured after PSG performed brilliantly with a 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League and won 1-0 against rival teams, Olympique Lyonnais.

In the next game PSG will visit the Girondins Bordeaux headquarters, Saturday (9/28) 22:30 on Week eight Ligue 1. Afterwards, PSG will play at Galatasaray headquarters in the Champions League group game, Wednesday (2/10) 2:00 AM.
