Stefano Pioli about AC Milan’s Difficulty in Scoring

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  The performance of two AC Milan strikers, Krzysztof Piatek and Rafael Leao, did not satisfy Stefano Pioli. Moreover, Milan has had difficulty to score.

AC Milan only won 13 goals in 14 matches in Serie A. The minimum amount of goals is undeniable because of Piatek and Leao’s bluntness.

Pioli did not dismiss the spearheads of AC Milan still could perform optimally. However, he also tried to accept the situation as the Rossoneri did not possess sharp attackers like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“If Piatek plays tomorrow (against Bologna), that means I consider him functional to approach the team in the match,” Pioli said as reported by Italian Football.

“Piatek is a center forward, a fox in the penalty box. Meanwhile, Rafael Leao is a striker who moves a lot.”

“There are many different ways to play football. Most important are the characteristics of the various players complementing each other as a team,” he added.

“We don’t have Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. However, we have a lot of good players and have to focus on teamwork. Right now, I don’t see Milan working with two attackers. Because, wings and midfielders are strong points.”

Stefano Pioli is still trying to bring Milan through the European zone. “It’s only natural that whoever is responsible for Milan must aim for European qualifications,” Pioli added.

“I didn’t come here to do ordinary work. If we can’t get there, at least we can claim to have tried,” he added.
