Steven Gerrard Eligible to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool

DBasia.news –  Jurgen Klopp, some time ago, has immediately appointed Steven Gerrard as his successor at Liverpool.

Similar support was voiced by another Liverpool legend, Gary McAllister. McAllister, who also played with Gerrard in the mid 2000-2002, is certainly very familiar with the hard work of the Englishman for Liverpool when he was active as a player.

Gerrard became the most suitable figure to replace Klopp in view of the inner bond he had with the Reds – nickname of Liverpool. However, McAllister doubts if Gerrard will come to Liverpool in the near future as he predicts Klopp will last a while at Liverpool.

Klopp is still under contract until the end of the 2021-2022 season and is likely to receive an extension of his service period from Liverpool given his current achievements. While Gerrard is also under contract until the end of the 2021-2022 season with Glasgow Rangers.

McAllister thought Gerrard had better focus on bringing Rangers to outstanding achievements while deepening his coaching knowledge. As a result, when Klopp left, Gerrard already had the ability to coach a large world team like Liverpool.

“In some ways, surprising. But then in other ways, when you look at it, it might make a little sense. But when that will happen (I don’t know when). Jurgen (Klopp) will seem be training Liverpool for a while, “McAllister said, as quoted by The Sport Review.

“I think that’s a very big compliment. However, I can assure you that Steven (Gerrard) is really focused here (with Rangers) and is trying to win something, “he concluded.
