Strasbourg vs PSG Postponed Due to Corona Virus
By db-admin
DBasia.news – A soccer match again must be postponed due to the threat of Corona virus outbreak. This time it came from Ligue 1, Strasbourg vs Paris St-Germain.
Strasbourg vs PSG actually scheduled to be held at the Stade de la Meinau on Saturday (03/07/2020). Ligue 1 has so far been a competition that is still free from Corona virus outbreak.
Because there has not been a single case found in France. However, as victims of COVID-19 exposure in Europe are increasing and the number of patients dying is even higher, protective measures must be taken.
The French League Authority (LFP) decided to postpone the match of Strasbourg vs PSG until undetermined time, in order to minimize the spread of the Corona virus. This was done after LFP received advice from the local government there.
This delay would certainly be a bad precedent given three days earlier, French Sports Minister Roxana Maracineanu confirmed that Ligue 1 was still safe from the threat of the Corona virus, considering that no case had emerged in the country’s cities.
But, Maracineany said there is a possibility of the second leg of the Champions League last 16 between PSG vs Borussia Dortmund at the Parc des Princes, Thursday (03/12/2020) netx week, held closed.
