Summary of the 2019 Summer Transfer Market Deadline

DBasia.news –  PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) became famous in the closing of the 2019 summer transfer market. Because before the closing of the transfer, PSG recruited two players: Keylor Navas and Mauro Icardi.

Navas was recruited by PSG as a replacement for Gianluigi Buffon and became a part of the barter of players with Alphonse Areola who joined Real Madrid. The Costa Rican goalkeeper will compete with Sergio Rico to win the number one position under the tutelage of Thomas Tuchel.

The arrival of Navas, who was contracted for four years, was followed by Icardi who was loaned for one season with a permanent option of 69 million euros. Prior to PSG, Icardi signed a two-year contract with Inter Milan.

“I will give my all to help my new team go as far as possible in all competitions. Paris St-Germain has become an international football force, attracting some of the greatest players in recent years,” Icardi stated on PSG’s official website.

“The momentum is strong in Paris, the ambitions are high, and I’m sure we have everything here to develop further,” he continued.

Icardi played for six years at Inter with 124 goals from 219 appearances. His transfer became a drama in the transfer market this summer, as Icardi still wanted to stay at Inter, while Nerazzurri officials and Antonio Conte wanted him to leave.

After being linked with Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Juventus, through a drama involving the agent and his wife, Wanda Nara, the Argentine striker finally joined PSG, completing the trident of Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani, and Neymar.

Meanwhile Inter’s rival, AS Roma, have successfully completed two new players on loan at the close of the transfer market. The two players are Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nikola Kalinic, attacking midfielders and strikers.

Kalinic was loaned with a purchase option of 11 million euros from Atletico Madrid, while Mkhitaryan had no purchase option and will return to Arsenal when his contract expires. Both of their arrival followed in Chris Smalling’s transfer from Manchester United.
