Pinto did not hesitate to describe Tomiyasu’s character as the Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, in terms of determination, hard work, and maintaining a healthy diet.

“What’s amazing about Tomi is that he received nothing but success. He was unlucky, nobody came for Tomi because he was lucky. He was just a hard worker,” Pinto told Goal.

“You find a lot of dedicated players, but Tomi has a bit of a Cristiano Ronaldo mentality in terms of determination, when it comes to working hard and when it comes to eating healthy.

“He is the type of player who is never satisfied. He will always continue to work hard to continue to develop himself,” added Pinto.

This season Arsenal may have gone through difficult phases amid inconsistent performances, but as a club they have made the right move in securing their future by investing in young players.
