DBasia.news – KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu FCII (TFCII) temporary manager Tengku Hazman Raja Hassan passed the first test when his team won 1-0 over Negeri Sembilan in Group A Cup Challenge at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi last night.
Tengku Hazman, who was earlier the assistant head coach, said he praised the enthusiasm of his men, especially the three younger players who had previously played in excellent matches to restrain the hosts.
“I betted on two young players, Muhammad Mohd Faudzi and Amirul Hafizul Samsol in the starting line-up at defense, while Ramzi Sufian came in as a substitute midfielder.
“Although these three players are less likely to be in the Premier League, their performances should be praised for their ability to curb Negeri Sembilan strikers,” he said when contacted by NSTP Sports today.
At the match, Haidhir Suhaini emerged as a hero for TFC II when he scored a single goal in the 47th minute.
Commenting further, the 41-year-old Kelantan-born manager said the victory over Negeri Sembilan was a moral injection for his side to face the next game.
He said if he wanted to be compared to his side, Negeri Sembilan was seen to have the advantage of playing Super League.
“We do not want to be too comfortable with this victory but will further refine the game pattern and sharpen the attacking machinery.
“I see, the team’s attack skills is still blunt and this problem needs to be addressed urgently because here we will go to Kuching to meet Sarawak for the second game next week,” he said.
