The arrival of Luis Diaz to Liverpool is a blessing for Diogo Jota

DBasia.news – Luis Diaz is Liverpool’s only transfer in the winter transfer market. The purchase of Diaz could be an investment for the future as well as increase the strength of the Reds’ front line.

Liverpool are still competing in the League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League. No doubt Jurgen Klopp needs all his players to be in a fit condition to rotate and Diaz’s presence adds to that strength.

Liverpool spent up to €45 million to sign Diaz from Porto. He added quantity to Liverpool’s front line which already had Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi.

However, the arrival of Diaz not only heated up the competition at the front, but also became a blessing for Jota. The Portuguese winger had asked Sergio Oliveira, Diaz’s former teammate at Porto about Diaz.

Oliveira believes that Diaz’s technical ability when dribbling the ball will benefit Jota, who will be increasingly sharp in scoring goals. With the focus on Diaz, Jota can have more freedom when the two of them play together.

“I watch Porto a lot, I also play there, so I know, for me, he (Diaz) is the best player in the Portuguese league,” Jota recently told Premier League Productions.

“So I know what he’s capable of and, for example, I had a chat with Sergio Oliveira, who is now at Roma, and he said, ‘Now you’re going to score more goals because Luis is a great dribbler and he’s going to get a lot of goals. You’ll get that chance.”

“He’s a great player and I think he will be good in the Premier League and obviously good for us,” added Jota.
