DBasia.news – Corona virus pandemic still occurs in the world even though some countries have resumed life in the term ‘new normal’. No doubt some tournaments or agendas involving public gatherings are canceled.

One agenda that was canceled was Juventus’ annual tradition at Villar Perosa. For the first time in 61 years Il Bianconeri will not play a trial match at Villar Perosa. The test match is usually a marker before the new season starts.

Fans were involved by the club to watch the Juventus players’ trial match from young players, seniors, to new players. Usually after the test match they are also allowed to ask for photos or signatures from players.

However, because the corona virus pandemic that has not ended the annual tradition was canceled. Through an official statement on the Juventus website, Andrea Agnelli as President of Juventus sent a letter to Mayor Villar Perosa.

“I am telling you with many regrets, because the conditions are not possible this year, you will not be able to hold a traditional ‘family party’ at the Villar Perosa sports center,” Agnelli said.

“I am sure you will understand the rules made by the Covid-19 security protocol and also the new competitive calendar for the 2019-20 season, unfortunately not allowing us to carry out routine activities in the summer, an agenda that we all expect.”

Cristiano Ronaldo and friends are still competing competitively in the two events that are still being played, namely in Serie A and the Champions League. In Serie A Juve at the top of the standings are five points adrift of Atalanta in second (Juve has one match savings), while in the Champions League Juve will play against Olympique Lyonnais in the last 16 of the last 16.
