DBasia.news – Real Madrid’s young defender, Eder Militao, has not been able to receive a place in the Los Blancos main squad this season. Even so, Zinedine Zidane as El Real manager believes that the Brazilian defender has a bright future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Eder Militao was just brought in by Madrid this season. He was imported from FC Porto with a tag of 50 million euros. But until the middle of the season, he was still unable to shift the position of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane.
For Zinedine Zidane, it is part of the defender’s adaptation process. However, he believes that the future of the Brazilian player is indeed at El Real.
“I see he has a future here. “It’s true that he hasn’t played much this season, but he is our third defender and I will continue to give him a chance,” Zidane said as quoted by the AS on Monday (3/16).
The last time the former Porto player was played by Zidane was when Los Blancos lost to Real Betis two weeks ago. His performance in the match was indeed disappointing.
He only made 48 successful passes and won five of the 12 duels he made throughout the match. That number differs significantly from what Varane did who was able to win 14 duels.
Nevertheless, the 23-year-old player is likely to re-enter Madrid’s starting 11 in the Champions League top 16 second leg against Real Madrid. As Sergio Ramos was absent due to the accumulation of red cards.
