The German coach will replace Frank Lampard at Chelsea

DBasia.news – Frank Lampard’s fate is threatened to end at Chelsea. Reportedly the club has prepared a coach from Germany to replace him.

The 42 year old coach continues to experience pressure after the Blues lost 2-0 at Leicester City in midweek. It marked the fifth defeat by Lampard’s squad in their last eight matches.

As a result, now the Blues have dropped to eighth place, after being at the top of the standings, nine points behind The Foxes who now dominate the standings.

While Chelsea are believed not to be dismissing Lampard, they appear to be planning a worst case scenario.

According to The Athletic as reported by The Sun, the Blues hierarchy believes that German coaches can become the manager of their club in the future.

Former PSG coach, Thomas Tuchel, RB Leipzig club architect. Julian Nagelsmann and legendary German coach, Ralf Rangnick, are on the short list of replacements for Lampard.

The current thoughts of Chelsea officials could be focused on Lampard’s two disappointing recruits last summer, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

Werner’s decline in form has meant he has been on the bench in recent matches. Even though he joined from RB Leipzig last summer, with the status as one of the most promising strikers in the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz, came from Bayer Leverkusen, who, although he performed well at the start of the season, has now continued to decline. Now, he often only watches from the substitute players’ stands.

The Athletic added that Chelsea saw how successful Liverpool was after they brought Jurgen Klopp to Anfield, and the Blues also wanted to adopt a similar method.

Thus, the “coach’s job is simply to do what is given to him”, and they can “avoid the power struggle behind the scenes”, because they are not a “political tool”. While there are also those who hope the West London club will adopt the style of play and tactics developed in the Bundesliga.

The Blues will certainly be looking for an “experienced coach” if they choose to replace Lampard. Currently, the former Stamford Bridge star is the coach of the next Premier League club to be dismissed.

Chelsea’s sad defeat at home to Leicester has put the club legend under serious pressure, and Lampard knows very well how ruthless Roman Abramovich is, the club owner. The Russian billionaire has never hesitated to kick out many managers when Lampard was still a player.
