The highest paid English player in the Premier League

DBasia.news – Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United striker, has finally officially signed his contract extension. This means Rashfrod will stay at the club until 2024.

Rashford’s new contract is reportedly worth 250,000 pounds a week plus bonuses. This value makes Rashford the highest-paid English player in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old player has agreed to new contracts with Diogo Dalot, Fred and Luke Shaw with the four players’ current contracts expiring at the end of the season.

The England forward is a graduate of Manchester United’s football academy and was part of The Three Lions squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“We want to improve, we want to support those players and we want them to stay in our process,” said United manager Erik Ten Hag.

“We want to build a team for the future, for longer years, and those players have to be part of this,” he added.

Portuguese right-back Dalot, 25, joined the 20-times league champions in 2018. The 27-year-old England left-back, Shaw arrived four years earlier and Brazilian midfielder Fred, who turned 30 in March, joined from Shakhtar Donetsk four seasons ago.

Manchester United are currently in fifth position in the Premier League standings. They return on Tuesday when they host Nottingham Forest.
