The Italian National Team to Play without a Single Juventus Player

DBasia.news – Juventus players are often a pillar in the Italian national team. Not only that, these players also often played an important role in the Azzurri Gli.

Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio, Fabio Cannavaro, or Gialuigi Buffon are just a few of the Juventus players who Italy has subscribed to. But what was presented on the pitch during Italy’s match against Bosnia-Herzegovina?

In that match Italy appeared without Juventus players in the starting XI. In the past decade, this is the fourth time Italy has started without a Juventus player. Even in the match against Bosnia, Juventus was only represented by Federico Bernardeschi who sat on the bench.

Reported by the Football-Italy page, two of the four matches without Juventus players occurred in the last two matches. The other three matches without Juventus players took place on 7 October 2020 against Moldova, against Portugal on 9 September 2018, and against England on 15 August 2012.

However, Italy won 2-0 over hosts Bosnia thanks to goals from Andrea Belotti and Domenico Berardi. The victory made the Azzurri top the standings while ensuring qualification for the UEFA Nations League semifinals. Italy followed Belgium, France and Germany.

The four teams will be looking forward to the draw which takes place on December 3 to find out who the opponents will be facing.

The new semifinals will be held on 6-7 October 2021. While the final match will be on 10 October 2021.
