The U-23 Malaysian Team Brings Two Players to the U-19 2018 Asian Games

DBasia.news – The U-23 Malaysian national team coach, Ong Kim Swee, calls two U-19 Malaysian national team key players, Hadi Fayyadh and Nik Akif Syahiran, for the 2018 Asian Games,. They are in the list of 24 players prepared for Malaysia after winning the U-19 AFF Cup in Indonesia.

Nik Akif Syahiran is probably the best player in U-19 Malaysian national team. He contributed to the winning and achievement in East Java.

Besides Nik Akif and Hadi Fayyadh, Ong Kim Swee also calls three senior players, which are Aidil Zafuan (Johor Darul Ta’zim), Baddrol Bakhtiar (Kedah), and Rizal Ghazali (Kedah).

While 17 other names are the U-23 Timnas players who brought Malaysia made a history to the quarter-final. They will be in training center in Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya, starting July 30.

“Four new players in the list are Syafiq Ahmad (JDT), Faisal Abdul Halim (Pahang), Rodney Celvin Akwensivie (PKNS FC), and the goalkeeper Khatul Anuar Md Jalil (Kuala Lumpur),” written in FAM site.

“From the 24 players, there are only 20 best players in the registration of 2018 Asian Games. Meanwhile, the other 6 players are still waiting if there’s something wrong to the 24 players like injury,” the statement continued.

In 2018 Asian Games, the U-23 Malaysian national team belongs to Group E along with South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, and Bahrain, by the drawing on July 5.
