DBasia.news – Finally, West Ham United officially signed German defender Thilo Kehrer from Paris Saint-Germain.
West Ham signed Kehrer for 10.1 million pounds. The 25-year-old player is contracted until June 2026.
The owner of 20 caps for the German national team has played for PSG since 2018 after signing from Schalke. He made 128 appearances for Les Parisiens, only five other players have made since the start of the 2018/19 season.
Kehrer won seven trophies with PSG, including three Ligue 1 titles. He was part of the squad that reached the 2019/20 Champions League final.
“I am very excited to join West Ham,” Kehrer told the club’s official website.
“This is the best competition in the world and I am very happy to be playing in the Premier League. I’ve spoken to the manager [David Moyes] and he sees me fit here,” said the centre-back, who can be played as a right-back and defensive midfielder.
“My biggest target now is to integrate myself into the team and enjoy playing for West Ham.”
The Hammers started the league campaign this season with back-to-back goalscoring defeats to Man City and promoted side Nottingham Forest.
