DBasia.news – Nicolo Zaniolo, has been widely linked with Juventus after Paulo Dybala was confirmed not to have extended his contract in Turin.
Dybala is certain to leave Juventus at the end of the season. The two sides failed to reach an agreement to extend the ties of cooperation.
Dybala’s departure will certainly reduce the power of Juventus’ front line. The Bianconeri inevitably have to replace him with a commensurate player.
Zaniolo is a young Roma star who has started to shine in the last three seasons. He is able to play as a right winger, a hole striker, to a center forward like Dybala.
Zaniolo’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli has heard rumors of Juventus’ interest. But he admitted that no agreement had been made.
“There have been transfer rumors throughout the year and a champion like him (Zaniolo) will be linked with big clubs. It’s good to see him, but at the moment he’s a Roma player,” Vigorelli told Tuttomercatoweb.
Vigorelli is very careful to respond to rumors of Juventus’ interest. That’s because Zaniolo is still under contract with Roma until 2024.
Even so, the opportunity to strengthen a team as big as Juventus is too good to pass up. A decision regarding this will be taken at the end of the season.
“For the future, we will consider it in time, there is no need to rush. We are concentrating on ending the season well with Roma.”
Roma as the owner is believed to have no objection in releasing Zaniolo. However, Il Gialorossi is said to have priced the player at €70 million.
This amount is certainly a challenge for Juventus. The Old Lady will likely include a number of players in the offer package to keep the price down.
