Thomas Tuchel Admits Very Satisfied With Mason Mount

DBasia.news – Thomas Tuchel has been very impressed with Mason Mount since taking over at Chelsea, but he warned that he must continue to work hard because there are no guarantees in a big squad like at Stamford Bridge.

Mount has been one of the most prominent players for the Blues this season, but it is possible that he will no longer be selected with the departure of Frank Lampard and the arrival of Thomas Tuchel.

The 22-year-old was on the bench for the German coach’s first game, which sparked fears, but he then returned to the starting XI in the next two games and has impressed in two straight wins.

Tuchel said he had seen Mason Mount progress for a long time and was not surprised by his form since he became manager at Stamford Bridge.

However, not wanting the England international to be complacent, the new Chelsea boss warned him that he could leave the team as soon as he entered.

“It was very clear beforehand because we watched the team and he was a regular starter with Frank,” said the former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund boss.

“There’s no doubt he has potential and he’s a team player. We didn’t pick him for the first game because we have a slightly different profile for the two No.10 positions. He’s shown the big influence he can have from the bench.”

“From here on, there are no guarantees for anyone, not even for Masons. It was young for him because he left his heart on the pitch, but everyone else does the same. This is a team effort and Mason is the first to agree.”
