DBasia.news – AC Milan has officially completed the transfer of Alessandro Florenzi from AS Roma. Milan’s efforts to get Florenzi paid off with the signing of the player on loan with a permanent option for five million euros (around Rp. 84.2 billion).
Milan previously kept pressing AS Roma to let Florenzi go. The Rossoneri were supported by the movement of Florenzi’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, who assisted in his client’s move. Now, Florenzi joins the Rossoneri.
“The midfielder for the Italian national team signed a contract with the Rossoneri until June 2022 and will wear the number 25 jersey at the San Siro,” Milan said in a statement.
Italian media reported, Milan spent one million euros (around Rp. 16.8 billion) for a loan deal for one season.
The 30-year-old player plays mostly at right-back, but can also operate on the left, midfield or slightly wide up front.
Florenzi was born and raised in the AS Roma academy, but he was loaned out several times outside Italy. He has been on loan at Valencia and then PSG over the last few seasons.
Florenzi was part of Gli Azzurri’s triumphant win at Euro 2020. In his career, he has made 227 appearances in Serie A, scoring 25 goals and providing 29 assists.
