Timo Werner is absent from defending the German National Team for having a fever

DBasia.news – Timo Werner had to be removed from the German national team squad during a friendly match against Turkey. The Chelsea attacker developed a fever ahead of the match, and did not join his teammates in the friendly matche.

“Timo Werner has a slight fever and will not join the team today,” Low said as quoted from Skysports, Wednesday (7/10).

Werner is still unable to train with his Cologne teammates for matches against Turkey, and against Ukraine and Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League on October 10 and 13. Werner is reportedly being contacted by German staff who are expected to be with him in the next few days.

Antonio Rudiger has now arrived at the hotel, a day late compared to his colleagues. The Chelsea defender had already met earlier with Low. Rudiger, almost left Chelsea, after Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan tried to target him on the transfer market deadline.
