DBasia.news –  Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos, also spoke up about rumors of the arrival of Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

Kroos, 29, stressed that he was not at all afraid or worried about losing his place in Madrid’s main squad if Pogba came to Santiago Bernabeu. According to him, Pogba also had to fight for his place in Zinedine Zidane’s squad.

“We can talk about a lot of players. Yes, I do like him (Paul Pogba), but nothing will change,” said Kroos, as reported by the Independent.

“I will continue what I have done for the past few years, struggling to maintain a position in the starting line-up, playing well. When I am at the highest level, I don’t think I will have any problems,” he said.

Kroos has been playing for Madrid since 2014 from Bayern Munich. The German midfielder was successfully involved in the squad which won one LaLiga title, the Spanish Super Cup, three Champions League, two European Super Cups, and four Club World Cups.

Besides Kroos, Luka Modric, Isco, Dani Ceballos and Fede Valverde’s playing positions could be threatened if Los Blancos seriously recruited Pogba, who was priced at £ 135 million. Moreover, Zidane once admitted as an admirer of Pogba.

But, Pogba’s chances of heading towards Madrid were also thinning if Madrid preferred to extend Kroos’s contract. According to news from the US, Madrid wants to activate an extension option for a year and increase Kroos’ salary.

Kroos, also is represented by Mino Raiola, agent of Pogba. There is a great potential for Madrid to want to retain Kroos who is not yet 30 years old. Conversely, there is a chance for them to sell Modric, who is 33 years old.
