DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur prominent striker, Harry Kane, said that his club have no obsession to sign a new player in January.
Kane said Tottenham would only sign a needed player.
In the previous summer transfer market, The Lilywhites decided not to sign a new player too. However, Mauricio Pochettino squad could present a good performance in the Premier League this season.
“Sometimes if you can’t find the right player there’s no need to buy a player. That’s obviously the gaffer’s philosophy and that was his thinking (in the summer). He believed in the squad he had and we’re doing alright so far,” Kane said.
“We’ll see what happens in the January transfer window. If the gaffer wants to buy someone then I’m sure he will. If he doesn’t we’ll crack on and keep doing what we’re doing,” Kane added.
The victory against Bournemouth in the Boxing Day made Tottenham stay in the second position of Premier League match. They collected 45 points from 19 matches, one point higher than Manchester City and six points behind Liverpool.
In January 2018, they signed Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain. But, Lucas just showed his best performance this season.
