Tottenham Hotspur Become a Title Contender

DBasia.news – Antonio Conte wants Tottenham Hotspur to become title contenders in all four competitions in the 2022-2023 season, but admits the club will have to bring in more players to make this possible.

Tottenham have signed 5 players in this summer’s transfer window to strengthen the squad ahead of their return to the Champions League for the first time in 3 years.

Spurs paid an initial 50 million pounds (61 million dollars) to sign Richarlison from Everton and a further 25 million pounds (30 million dollars) for Yves Bissouma from Brighton, while Clement Lenglet joined on loan from Barcelona and Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster were signed on free transfers.

While pleased with the new addition to his squad, Conte believes his club will have to bring in more fresh faces to give them enough chances to compete for multiple trophies in the coming season.

“I said since I arrived that we need time and patience to build something important for this club,” Conte told reporters.

“Last season was detrimental to finish in the top four because it means you can speed up this process.”

“The club wants to build something important for the fans. Our ambition is to try to improve and be competitive in all competitions. Next season, we will play the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, and you need a big squad because you need so much players to face this competition and be competitive.”
