DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur failed to win while visiting Turf Moor, Burnley headquarters, in Week 27 of the Premier League, Saturday (23/2) evening WIB. Because of that defeat, Spurs are now collecting 60 points and five points adrift of Manchester City who are at the top of the table – superior to one match.
Even Pochettino as the coach of the Lilywhites, is not optimistic if his foster children still have the chance to compete in the Premier League title after losing to The Clarets.
As the competition still leaves 11 games and the distance points are getting farther away, is the main reason why the Argentine coach feels uncertain.
“(When asked whether Spurs’ chances of winning the Premier League have been destroyed), yes. We are very disappointed because there are still 11 matches left, and the points are still potentially bigger,” Pochettino was quoted by Sky Sports.
“Of course, there are still many matches we have to play. However, we should have won three points in the game against Burnley to put pressure on them (Man City and Liverpool),” he concluded.
Pochettino’s side will get a big test in the next two matches in the Premier League competition. Harry Kane and mates will have to face two teams from London, namely Chelsea and Arsenal.
